Enteric-coated aspirin

For the prevention of heart attacks and strokes in people who are at risk of them by keeping the blood thin. Enteric coated so they don't irritate the stomach.

Active Ingredient: 100mg enteric coated Aspirin.

Purpose/Usage: Prevention of heart attacks and strokes in people who are at risk of them by keeping blood thin. The 100mg aspirin dose is smaller than you would need to take for a headache or other pain. If you require medication for the relief of temporary pain of fever, we suggest you take paracetamol and continue to take your Cartia tablets as usual. The aspirin in Cartia is released in the upper intestine where it is absorbed gradually into the blood stream. This slow absorption is believed to be necessary to maximize the anti-clotting effect.

Dosage: One tablet daily. Take with food. Swallow whole with a glass of water.
