Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant and it has been seen to play a role in the prevention of cancer. Vitamin E can also protect against cardiovascular disease, including heart attack, angina and stroke. There is evidence to suggest that vitamin E improves immune function, particularly in the elderly, slows down the aging process and protects against air and chemical pollutants. Vitamin E may reduce the risk of cataract formation, decrease exercise-induced damage and slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. It can also be useful in the relief of premenstrual breast pain and tenderness.

Dosage: One or two capsules daily with food, or as professionally prescribed.
