Alanase aqueous nasal spray for the prevention and treatment of seasonal allergies including hayfever.

Active Ingredient: beclomethasone dipropionate 50mcg.
Classification: Pharmacy Only Medicine.
Purpose/Usage: Alanase is used for short term treatment and prevention of seasonal allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nose), including hayfever. It works by reducing swelling and inflammation in the nose. It can be used throughout the hayfever season to treat the common symptoms of hayfever such as sneezing and a runny, itchy or blocked-up nose. When your nose is cleared the presure and pain around your nose is also reduced.
Dosage:
For adults and children over 12 years of age: Initially one or two sprays in each nostril twice daily, then after 2 to 3 days one spray into each nostril twice daily. Maintain regular dosage because there is no clinical response for a few days. The total daily dose should not normally exceed 400mcg (8 sprays per day).
Warnings: You should consult your doctor before using Alanase nasal spray if you: - Are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant
- Are breastfeeding.
- Have a tendency to nose bleeds. Stop using for two days if nose bleeds occur
- Have had recent nasal surgery.
- Have recently had systemic steroids.
Systemic side effects may occur if dose is exceeded over a prolonged period.
