Lamisil Cream for effective treatment of fungal infections

Treats fungal (tinea) infections of the skin such as athletes foot, "jock itch", and ringworm, pityriasis and candida skin infections.

Active Ingredient: terbinafine hydrochloride 1%.

Purpose/Usage: Lamisil Cream treats fungal infections of the skin caused by fungus called dermatophytes (tinea). Tinea of the feet is commonly known as "athelete's foot". Lamisil Cream is also used to treat yeast infections of the skin (yeasts are a type of fungus – a common example is Candida albicans) and to treat Pityriasis versicolor, a superficial fungus infection of the skin. The active ingredient in Lamisil Cream is terbinafine and this works by killing dermatophytes and by killing or stopping the growth of yeasts.

Directions:
Adults and children 12 years and older: Wash the affected skin with soap and water and dry completely before applying. For athlete's foot wear ventilated, good-fitting shoes. Change socks and shoes at least once daily. Between the toes only: Apply twice a day (morning and night) for 1 week or as directed by a doctor. On the bottom or sides of the foot: Apply twice a day (morning and night) for 2 weeks or as directed by a doctor. For Jock Itch and Ringworm: Apply once a day (morning or night) for 1 week or as directed by a doctor. Wash hands after each use.
Children under 12 years: Ask a doctor.
